RiverWoods Annual Easter Egg Hunt draws dozens of participants

The Easter Bunny greeted dozens of children eager to find hidden eggs at the annual RiverWoods Egg Hunt on March 31. The kids were separated by age groups so all children participating could find more than a dozen eggs each.   The colorful eggs were filled with candy donated by staff members at RiverWoods. Hundreds of eggs were hidden by volunteers on the fields surrounding the RiverWoods Nursing Care Center. In each age category, one hidden egg had a slip of paper inside that said “WINNER” and the lucky child who found that egg won a special prize such as a board game or craft. All participants were treated to cookies and apple juice and got to take home a special treat bag filled with colored chalk and other goodies! Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make this event possible, including Cookie Connolly, Community Enrichment Director, who served as chair for the egg hunt.
