Albright Care Services held their annual meeting at Normandie Ridge Senior Living Community in York on May 17. At the meeting, selected employees were recognized for excellence in the workplace.
Glen Liddington, who works in transportation at RiverWoods Senior Living Community in Lewisburg, received a Best of the Best award. Liz Pursley, Director of Transportation, said, “Glen was selected after I had several residents come to me to praise his work ethic. Residents appreciated that he would hold their hand and help them with their groceries. Glen is compassionate and makes the residents feel safe and comfortable.”
After receiving the award, Liddington said, “I enjoy my job very much. My motto is to treat people the way I want to be treated. I am very touched by this award.”
Another award for Best of the Best went to Mike Arnold, Manager of Warrior Run Manor. Arnold has been with Albright Care Services since 1988, serving in a number of capacities at Warrior Run Manor. Resident Carol Houtz helped present the award and said, “Mike is so compassionate and understanding. Warrior Run Manor is an amazing place to live and Mike has done a fabulous job.”
Arnold said he is happy he has had the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others for more than 29 years at Warrior Run Manor. “Albright Care Services is reaching out to help the most in need in our area. There are so many great employees I have the pleasure of working with. I feel the Lord has placed me in this position and has given me the gift of listening and for that I am very grateful.”
The final award of the day went to Cindy Wolfe RN, who received the Seneca Foote Servant Leadership Award. Wolfe is Director of Education at Albright Care Services. LouAnn Shively, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Compliance Officer at Albright Care Services, presented Wolfe with the award, “Cindy embodies what service leadership symbolizes. She is dedicated, helpful and a problem solver. She’s a really good teacher and I am privileged to work with her every day.”
Wolfe said, “I am humbled to receive this award and I want to thank the Executive Council of Albright Care Services for selecting me. I love teaching because I have the opportunity to get to know every person in the corporation. This recognition will truly be a memory in my heart for a very long time.”
