Employees Recognized at Albright Care Services Annual Meeting

Albright Care Services held their Annual Meeting on Thursday May 16th at Normandie Ridge Senior Living Community in York, PA. At the meeting, Albright Care Services board members were recognized for their years of service. Rev. Dr. G. Edwin Zeiders, Ty Trainer and Jane Taylor were awarded certificates for three years of service. Rev. Keith Schmuck received a certificate for six years of service and Thomas C. Graver Jr. received a certificate for nine years of service on the Albright Care Services Board of Trustees.

Several staff awards were presented at the Annual Meeting. The Best of the Best Award at RiverWoods Senior Living Community went to Jane Lease, Certified Medication Technician and Personal Care Assistant. Tammy Speece, Personal Care Administrator, said, “Jane goes above and beyond to care for residents at RiverView Manor. She is an encourager, very helpful, always humorous and kind. Jane has a heart of gold.”

The Best of the Best Award at Albright Care Services went to Derek Mitchley, Service Coordinator at Warrior Run Manor. Mitchley started with Albright Care Services at RiverWoods in June 2011 as a social worker and moved to Warrior Run Manor in 2016. Mike Arnold, Apartment Manager at Warrior Run Manor, said, “Derek is definitely deserving of this award. The residents at Warrior Run Manor love him and he is dedicated to always helping them. He is encouraging and I am proud to present this award to him.” Mitchley said, “I thank the residents, who make us smile each day. I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else and look forward to my future with Albright Care Services.”

The Seneca Foote Servant Leadership Award was presented to Kim Kazakavage, Human Resource Manager. Jim Lucy, Vice President of Human Resources at Albright Care Services said, “Kim focuses on what others need first and we are extremely lucky to have her.” Kazakavage started as a part time receptionist and over the course of seven years, progressed to the position of HR Manager, overseeing 150 employees. Kazakavage said she was humbled by the award, “I am grateful to have a job that’s perfect for me and keeps getting better. Albright is the perfect place for me to grow professionally. I’m delighted to be chosen for this award and I thank Albright for having faith in me.”
